	A desk review involves the reassessment of another appraiser's report but does not include separate inspection of the subject property or any of the comparables. The review appraiser will look for any anomalies or inconsistencies in the report based on his knowledge of the area and the description of the property contained in the appraisal. 	THE DESK REVIEW APPRAISAL PROCESS Desk reviews are very effective as an independent assessment of an appraisal as part of a lender's systematic quality control procedure.
